What a whirlwind weekend! I spent it in New York City, where we got 11 inches of snow from the big Northeast winter storm. Funny, I left my home in South Jersey, where we barely got any, according to Mike!
I spent lots of time traipsing all over the city with Maria from Cult Nails and Claudia from Chromatic Misadventures. We did a little shopping, tried to do a little partying.
Of course, just like the winter storm didn’t stop us from getting our shopping on, it didn’t stop Mercedes Benz-New York Fashion Week either! I attended a show on Saturday night, offsite from Lincoln Center, and I’ll have a post about it soon. I have a couple more shows later this week, too!
I would have posted the show today, but I have exciting news that relates, and I don’t want to share any of it yet until papers are signed, the proof is there, and it’s all official! I know – I’m a tease!
Speaking of being a tease…Valentine’s Day is this week! Hahaha. And what better way to start off the week than with a pretty pink combo? The base is two coats of CQ Sorbet (bought at Rite Aid), and then about two coats of Nicole by OPI She’s Lily Something (believe I bought it at CVS). It’s actually the only polish I picked up from the Modern Family collection, but I love it.
After I applied the mani, I realized that it looks a little bit like a glossy, smooth version of the OPI Liquid Sand shade, The Impossible. Maybe not dupes, but I love that polish, so no wonder I had it on the brain. Check out more swatches of my pink combo!:
And here’s a couple shots of She’s Lily Something swatched on my finger, in natural light and with flash:
It’s a pretty, glass-fleck top coat that really added some POW to Sorbet.
I’m sure I’ll be doing other Valentine’s Day manis this week, what about you?!
